Tiny
Although his name was Tiny
He stood 'bout 6 feet 5
Fun is what he lived for
That's why he chose to drive
From the mid-west in the fifties
To the South Carolina clay
He loved to race and raced to win
Many times along the way
From the Grand American Division
With 3 championship cups
To hundreds of wins in Sportsman's class
He kept on moving up
He really hit the big time
in 1963
With the Wood Brothers at Daytona
Marked his place in history
Marvin Panch would testify
There's not been a better man
Than big ol' DeWayne "Tiny" Lund
If you need a helping hand
She'd say they were all crazy
If you asked Wanda Lund
But that's one thing that she loved most
That Tiny was so much fun
That fateful day at Talladega
Just outside turn two
Tiny lost his life that day
Doing what he loved to do
303 racing starts
119 top tens
A champion now and forever
In the hearts of fans and friends.
